THE WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE WHISKY
Dalmore is the jewel in the crown of whisky. In 2002, in fact, one of the 12 existing bottles of Dalmore 62 years old was sold at auction at the breathtaking amount of 25,877.50 sterling (about 38.000 euro).
THE CLASSIC HIGHLAND MALT
Dalmore means “ large meadow”, a name which evokes its origin. It is in this splendid scenery that, since 1893 these splendid surroundings have kept the secret to the most magnificent Single Malt Whisky. The pure and delicate waters of the Alness, a river nearby, together with the particular climate of the area, along with the long and slow maturation in American white oak and Oloroso Sherry butts, confer on this Dalmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky a unique and inimitable character. A Whisky of classic nobility, distinctive and rich in aroma with a lingering aftertaste.
Colour: Rich. Golden mahogany.
Nose: bold and majestic. Firmly structured, with the harmonious, velvety tones of malt and hints of Oloroso Sherry. Subtle, orange marmalade and spiced notes.
Taste: Velvety and harmonious. Initially citrus, it quickly turns, thanks to aging in barrels of Oloroso Sherry, into a harmonic distillate with a smooth and rich consistency. A noble malt of classic distinction.
